IPP Balanza: 14 januar 2010

CISV Blogger

The group that left the IPP house in Bogotá to travel to Arauca on the 2nd of January came back to the Colombian capital as a changed group. The ten days spent in Arauca were full of unforgettable moments and lots of learning. These experiences made both the group stronger and also gave the participants new perspectives on life.

Today is the last full day of the IPP. The participants have brainstormed and discussed the sustainability of the project and now they are working on the ideas that they came up with. The IPPers hope to support the project on community justice and the conciliators also in the future. In order to do this, the group is writing thank you letters, compiling a diary of the IPP, editing a video and planning a booklet.

The sustainability of the IPP does not restrict itself to the sustainability of the project in Arauca. IPP Balanza has been a very powerful educational experience for all the participants. We will all take these experiences back to our countries and homes and hopefully apply them in our lives in the future.
